Mark has been a Partner of Marrico for the last 9 years and has over 32 years of experience working in the property market. Prior to establishing Marrico he Headed the Development Department for King Sturge within the north of England and the Retail Development team for King Sturge within Central and Eastern Europe Mark is a Director at J & E Richards Ltd building residential developments, new build and conversions, in Yorkshire. Mark is also a director at BRP Ltd, a residential investment company.
Richard Bland
ACIB – Financial Partner
Richard is the Finance Partner of Marrico and has been with the business for 9 years. Prior to joining Marrico Richard worked for RBS as Head of the Property Finance team for The North of England. This position managed a loan book of £1bn. After his time at RBS Richard worked as a consultant to the Debt Team at PWC. Main responsibility for the funding of all the Marrico projects as well as funding for external clients. Notably, the Central square project where he secured the funding from M&G real Estate. Richard recently negotiated the purchase of a 1m sq ft facility from a local authority and renegotiated a new lease for an occupier securing local employment via the occupier for the next 10 years
Steve Ford ICIOB
Construction Director
Steve has been the construction director of Marrico for the last 5 years. Previously Steve spent 10 years as a Project Leader for Laing O’Rourke. His experience working for a main Contractor included; Project Leader Heathrow T2a, HSBS maximum security data centre, PFI education projects, specialising in retail development including the landmark Trinity Leeds and Sheffield Meadowhall Centre. Since joining Marrico, Steve has directly controlled and managed the construction of the Central Square Development in Leeds build, a high-quality apartment development in Sheffield City Centre and the design and development of four Food Market Halls for the award-winning Try Market Halls concept in London
Scott Barnes
Bsc (Hons) – Development Manager
After graduating with a degree in Real Estate Management, Scott joined Marrico in 2013. Scott has worked on all previous and current developments within Marrico. Scott is involved in all parts of the development process from site identification and acquisition through to sales. Scott has also managed multiple mixed-use developments through J&E Richards throughout Yorkshire over the last 10 years.
